Paddi’s Perspective

Bow wow to my canine friends and howdy to you homosapiens. My name is Paddi O*Daniel. By way of introduction let me eliminate a few formalities. Yes, I’m Irish being born in Butte, MT to a family of renegades and and two miscreants. As the gods would have it, I was salvaged by Annie and clark. I now reside safely with them. I receive regular meals, special snacks made by Annie and experience days of endless petting, encouragement to be my best, and occasional corrective measures administered mostly by clark.

My age is one and a half. I tell you this as it might help you understand that my manners are not entirely developed. I tend to get flipping, tail wagging, tongue out excited when people come to visit. I mean well but I am told by some humans and doggie friends that I need to contain my natural exuberance. I remain a work in progress, like most teenagers.

What I want to share with you is my personal excitement about some wild and delightful stuff going on where I live. We have this new building which Annie calls “the Space.” It is welcoming beyond my vocabulary and it’s chuck full of Annie’s creative materials, most of which I don’t know anything about. For any money, one of the best things about the Space is that it has heat which means I can park my fanny in front of the source and listen to Annie mutter to herself as she invents something. Occasionally, clark drops in and gives us a blessing before he exits to go….who knows?

There’s also a big dog burner thing in the studio alongside the Space. I’ve heard the word “kiln” to describe the burner thing. I believe this business has something to do with clay and all of that falderal. The bark and woof of all of this is that I’m going to meet new people, take a pee on their tires and listen to how excited humans and hopefully furry friends are to be out here. I see a coffee pot and tea bags on the table and heard tell clark and a few fine soup recipes in store for these Fall days. I’m looking forward to greeting you excessively and making new friends.
