Sending Peace, Wellness & Energy Abound
Hope Through the Arts
Much anxiety, much confusion, much anger… where can we find our center, our core, our calm… where we can see light and shine that light for others. Old systems lose coherence … new structures emerge slowly expanding our visions. Lets provide the hope through the arts.
So much love appreciation for all that exists in the natural world around us. Each mountain, tree, rivers and lakes… each person with their own characteristics and large scale of thinking … each living creature finding their way to survive in a world that is perpetually changing as we speak. Everyone I know is giving their very best effort to provide some sense of peace and hope for the future. With the Makerspace we hope to provide a space where all will feel comfortable to create, share and lift one another through the arts.
“Spirit" on antique fibers by Annie
Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring – it was peace.” – Milan Kundera
Everyday People
We will feature many artists in a variance of disciplines at the Makerspace. From visual art, sculptures, fibers, writers, photography and movement to artists who work with the body through yoga, massage, breathing and alternative styles.
I want to introduce such an artist. Her name is Lorinda Bartlett. She has been a dear friend of mine for many years. She is originally from Montana and is currently living in North Carolina. Her website reveals her many talents and having personally experienced her breath work I can’t say enough about her talents. I will let her words and her website speak for herself. Below you will find information for artists to join us for a biweekly 90-minute group experience blending conscious-connected breathwork with creative expression through journaling, art, or writing.
